Melanie Hopkins

MELANIE HOPKINS is a tour de force. Born and raised in Sheffield, she has evolved to become a rambuctious roast comedian, compere/host, drag artisté and general showstopper.

In her early creative career Melanie completed various works with BBC's Tomorrow's World, Venice Biennale, It's Gone Viral and worked with the likes of Doppelgangster,  Project Horror and more.

Described as a “one woman army”, Melanie has single-handedly set up her own successful events; "Karma Leon's Kabaret", a six-time-sold-out variety cabaret and “Sheffield Monologue Showcase” funded by The Arts and Culture Worker Fund.

Melanie is also known for writing for the stage with her most note-worthy pieces performed at the York Theatre Royal’s Take Over Festival 2019, Theatre Deli Sheffield and Manchester ADP.​​
